Root the Motorola Droid 2 on Gingerbread 2.3.4 [WINDOWS]

1. To begin with; all you need to have in handy is SuperOneClick 2.2 and the Gingerbreak exploit files. If you don't have, download it here

 SuperOneClick 2.2

Gingerbreak exploit

2. Extract the SuperOneClick, then go to the folder where it has been installed and now put that to side and extract the Gingerbreak files.

3. Now copy the Gingerbreak.c file and go to the SuperOneClick folder and open the exploit folder; now you shall see two files, zergRush and psneuter.

4. Paste the Gingerbreak.c file here.

5. Noe connect your Droid 2 to your computer and make sure it is connected to adb by opening the command prompt and typing "adb devices" and without the quotes. If you see a string of numbers/letters and device, then your phone is connected. Still not connected; make sure you have enabled the USB Debugging on your phone and check if you have properly installed the motorola drivers.

6. Once you are done connecting your device, then open the SuperOneClick.exe and click on the exploit drop-down list. As you see it will be all set to auto by default; there will be four options, Auto, zergRush, psneuter, and the file you added, Gingerbreak.c

7. Now select Gingerbreak.c and click root.

8. The whole process will be completed in seconds and then it might ask if you want to test if your phone is properly rooted or not.

9. Now click yes and a SuperUser request will appear on your phone if it was rooted.

10. Disconnect your phone and you are done.
